VeraSun recognizes the critical contribution farmers and farming communities make in supporting the ethanol industry. Without them, there would be no grains from which to produce the ethanol. We take seriously our responsibility to be good stewards to farmers and their communities.
VeraSun provides benefits to farmers and their communities by creating a significant demand on local corn production. Local taxes generated from plant revenues feed back into the community to be used for community projects, such as schools, parks, and infrastructure improvements. These factors combine to energize the local economies of these farming communities.
VeraSun's goal is to work in harmony with the local farmers and communities and to share a sense of pride in what we achieve together.
